Shell is a game changer, paired with their easy pay app and AMA it’s a ton of savings and makes getting gas a lot less painful.

It would be nice to see the neo partner network expand and get updates. There was a time when every week it was growing and it might still be the case but I don’t see as many posts on social media about it.

It needs more consistency between different stores under one brand. Especially for any chain restaurants/fast food places.

I hope Neo team can realize that, rarely, people (at least for me), check the map every time before paying the bill. Or check the map and decide where to eat.

If I glanced a good deal in the app, I might remember the store name, and next time seeing it, I might enter and use Neo. Here comes the problem.

I had a bad experience with Freshii, which I believe I saw some stores are providing stunning cash back. I entered, paid, then realize the store I purchased does not participate the program.

Ever since, I rarely use Neo rewards network.

I hope Neo make the map/list view in the app more intuitive, and provide as much as information on the tiny phone screen. Currently, the map experience is horrible when there are lots of stores cluttered together. It is very hard to navigate and browse.

Also, I think the rewards network does not have to include any general purchase categories. This might be useful to new users, but for me, I hope there is a toggle to turn off these. Such gas stations, grocery stores, when there is already general cash back categories applying to it.

Ive been using the rewards network and enjoying the cashback feature until i recently stopped receiving cashback. Specifically for business categorized as restaurants and fuel.

Is there a maximum amount of cashback?

Im still receiving cashback for groceries.

There is a cash back cap on the Neo card.

It’s hidden in their website unfortunately and it’s not clear how they use it to govern payouts.

I believe it’s once you hit an equivalent spend to $20,000 a year it stops paying out cash back on anything that isn’t partner network.

World elite card goes up to $40,000 which is why I switched and the cash back as of now with it being a new card is night and day.

This cap is for sure the biggest draw back and worst communicated feature of the Neo card.

Here is a side by side comparison of me doing some testing and using the Neo card more than my other products as I wanted to see if the WE was worth it.

6k on a Neo CC that has passed the Cap vs <$2k on a brand new WE with lots of space under the cap.

I doubled my cash back with less than half of the spend, and not by targeting partner network this was normal spending. The WE has a higher percent cash back but the big difference here if I look back to when I first got my Neo card the cash back was similar to what I’m seeing this month with my brand new WE.

well, learning this just frustrates me even more. Why the customer service reprensentative didn’t share these details wiht me i’ll never know. Fortunatley i have that chat archived if anyone at NEO is interested in seeing it.

The credit limit max of $10k, max spend for cashback and the inability to deposit cheques is making me consider other options.

Hopefully they get rid of this cap. Not sure if it’s to drive profit or if it’s a requirement as a smaller company to reduce liabilities but it greatly affects all of us and I’m guessing almost all users are unaware.

I think they said they are adding cheque support
But yeah I think 10k is the most they give anyone… funny enough my W/E card has a smaller limit than my Neo card but it’s not a big deal as I have other cards for big purchases.

Cap on Gas and Groceries on WE is moving up to $1k a month as of Nov 1.

@Craig WE and the coming soon World will have higher credit limits.

What do you mean on max spend for cashback? Do you mean caps? Caps will go from $500/mth to $1k a month on World and World Elite.

We hear you on depositing cheques and is on top of the radar with a couple other core features folks are asking for. Thanks for your feedback.

Is there a time line on when check deposits will be available. I get a hand full of checks throughout the year and it sucks having to deposit them at a different bank

Hey @Knightwolf22 we don’t currently have an exact date for this will be launched but it is on the team’s radar as it is a highly requested feature by users. The Neo community will be one of the first to know when we have an update on this. Stay tuned!

It was good,

Again, this month, for unknown reasons ive stopped receiving cashback

My total cashback is only $59.51.

I cant reach anyone who can actually explain why. The folks on chat are useless.

Due to this, i will be closing my accounts and transferring my assets. I do not have time to be chasing a bank about rewards.

Hey @Craig I just want to make sure I am understanding correctly, firstly, are you doing this spending with the world elite card? The spend caps for gas and grocery are $1000. You will receive cashback in those categories until you have hit the spend caps for the month. They reset every month.

Are you saying that you have not maxed them out but still are not receiving cashback?

Also when you say “you’ve stopped receiving cashback” Are you referring to specific merchants? Each merchant has a different cashback offer. Lets say for example: a merchant has a punch card offer where after 3 purchases you will get a percentage back.

That’s some BS sadly to say and not nice. So basically spend more to get cash back plus a $5 fee to have a secured credit card. Like ppl are not made out of money and not everyone will shop their partners either.

It seems as though others are providing feedback that the spending caps needs to be adjusted. I’d offer the following feedback:

  1. Instead of monthly spending caps, move it to a yearly spend cap. I’m sure I’m not the only one, sometimes you have larger bills such as a trip that you pay for, and receiving the cash back rewards you pay for would be appreciated. Instead of capping us out at $3k/month for the everything category, switch it to a yearly cap since some months will be higher and others will be lower. For those paying $10/month for the premium version I would think this would be expected. It effectively becomes a $240 annual card fee. Can we get transparency on what the spending caps are per category for the world elite card with the premium perk enabled?

  2. Improve the transparency on partner rewards. I’ve done a couple transactions now where I don’t receive the cash back specified, only to have to reach out to customer support to get an answer. (Spending cap limit reached - not sure why this affects the partner rewards.)

  3. Improve the customer support: Even calling the dedicated support it seems they are still not understanding or able to quickly see what the issue is when discussing this with them. Missing rewards I have to send them screenshots and the address of a rewards partner store location when it shows up in their own app. They should be able to access this. On top of this, the chat customer support is even worse. They’ve told me the merchant is no longer a rewards partner when the location is still showing on the app and phone line confirms it is.

Would be cool to be able to add merchants to “favourites” or some sort of list to come back to later. When some relevant new merchants are added, the offer can be pushed to the user with a “save for later” option. Relevant merchants can be determined based on user purchase history or other factors with AI magic.

Also could have the ability to rank the experience after purchase that would allow seeing “highest ranked” merchants without leaving the app or filter them by highest ranked or lowest ranked.

I love the rewards network! It’s just a extra bonus on things I would’ve purchased.
I don’t look at the map, so it hasn’t changed my shopping preferences.

Would partnering with Klarna/afterpay be an option? Starbucks or Tim Hortons?

A yearly acknowledgment of membership would also be a stand out feature!

Yes :clap:t4: Starbucks and Tim Hortons
