Will payment made to Tims go to Neo

I didn’t select a new card and got the default in the mail. Every time I try to add Neo as a payee in bill payments on CIBC I get an error (maybe because my new Neo card has the same account # as Tims?). If I make a payment to my old card, will it still go through? It’s a secured card, if that matters.

Seems the card is connected to an old phone number so I can’t login to Neo or anything. Seems you can’t use the app or anything with the default card, anyways? If I have to take the effort to call in I’m just cancelling this card.

@K_A Hi there! You can actually resolve both of these self-serve

  1. Bill Payment : Keep your payee as Tims Financial (not Neo Financial), but enter your new 16-digit Neo card number. Avoid sending payments to the old card number so your payment isn’t delayed or bounced.

  2. Phone Number Update: Go to the Neo app or member.neofinancial.com to log in. On the verification code screen, tap “Lost access to my number” and complete the quick ID selfie check. You’ll then be able to enter your new phone number and access your app immediately.

Let me know if you run into any issues walking through those steps!

Couldn’t access the app, support only shows m6 current phone number despite my old number being the one all SMS verification codes are going to. Couldn’t check my statement. Paid $10 which is usually what the minimum payment is. But apparently it was $10.97. So now I’m overdue. Support won’t close the card. I’m fucking legitimately pissed. This is my fucking own money. It’s a fucking secure card. Now I’m going to get charged a bunch of fucking bullshit fees over this, and you will not fucking close my account? Fuck you all.

Hey @K_A , sorry about the trouble you’ve had accessing your account. Have you had a chance to try the steps shared above by @Youssra_Neo to update your phone number?
