Hi I have the neo world elite master card and Td car insurance added in the credit card as pre authorized payment, but i still got only 1 % cashback only . Payment was only 250 dollars well under the limit of 500 dollars. I was expecting 4.5% as mentioned if you maintain balance in chequing account . Please respond

In this case, your cashback is correct, the transaction was classified under the “Everything Else” category rather than as recurring cashback. This is because recurring cashback depends on Merchant Category Codes (MCCs), which are set by the businesses themselves. Since merchants control these codes, we can’t always predict how a transaction will be categorized.
Recurring payments are determined by the merchant’s coding system, which assigns a recurring payment code to the transaction instead of relying on categories.

Hi Rohit, I’ve a similar situation. I use TD auto insurance and bill it to my NEO world elite MC. My recurring payment discount started from the second month, had no trouble there after. Hope this answer helps.
Hi Tarun thankyou for your input. Did you contacted Td to make any changes to your account or you started getting recurring cashback automatically from 2nd month ?
Well I tried contracting TD, as one would expect there’s no solution from their side. But the cash back started automatically, without my intervention.
