Refunds on Secured Cards. Anyone Else Having This Issue?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone else has run into this.

I use my secured Neo card for Amazon and sometimes hotel deposits. But when my card is maxed out (say the limit is $300), any refund gets declined because it would push the balance over the limit.

So instead of the refund going through right away, I have to spend money first just to make room for the refund.

Feels like something that could be improved refunds shouldn’t get blocked like that. It would be really helpful if refunds could be processed even when the card is maxed out, since they’re not new charges, they’re just returning my own money.

Would love to see Neo update this behavior.

Hey @Jon_pft_89, you make a fantastic point. You shouldn’t have to manually spend money just to “make room” for a refund. Really appreciate you taking the time to flag this, I’ll definitely pass it along to the team for review.

Oh wow, I’m really surprised by this. Can this be addressed quickly? Seems ridiculous that a refund can be declined like this. I’ve never had this problem with other credit cards before.
