Neo users can now configure their own maximums for credit card usage, e-transfers, EFTs, bill payments, and ATM withdrawals.
This came directly from customer feedback. Some people need higher limits for major purchases, while others prefer lower limits to reduce potential losses from unauthorized activity. There’s no single number that works for everyone, so we’re giving users more control.
Neo will continue to determine each user’s available maximums based on account history and security factors, but you can choose any limit up to the maximum available to you.
If you’re interested, the max limits can be found here. Your specific limits and the maximum available limits may change, depending on account usage and the overall results we see. As for customization, this is just the start. We are going to continue expanding the flexibility of the your banking experience.
Need a one-time increase beyond what’s available in the app? Contact Support. Requests are subject to eligibility, identity verification, and security review, but if you need to make a $100,000 e-transfer today to put a downpayment on your dream home — they can make it happen.
As always, we want to know if you have any thoughts or feedback on this. Let us know below!
Awesome! Great feature to have! It makes total sense since it fits perfectly with the existing controls over transaction type, card locking/unlocking, etc. and will help people block big unintentional or fraudulent purchases
Definitely a huge perk! Thanks Neo and Grant - brilliant idea to be able to customize. These updates are also so helpful to stay on top of what is available to us in real time.
Great feature, I was about to bring this up. I currently have a pre-approved credit limit increase which I am yet to accept because I always try keep the limit reasonably low, in case of worst case scenarios where my card is compromised (even though it has never happened and probably won’t), I would rather loose nothing or very little than expose myself to a big loss and the whole process of trying to recover what I can. With this feature, I can gladly accept it and control the limits.
For next update, a monthly limit will be nice to add, since some of us have specific days we make big payments, like rent.
This also works, I just have to adjust the limit 2-3 times monthly to accommodate the big payments.
Thanks to the neo team for this feature, first time I
will be having this, and I can finally increase my limits.
