Neo not on Interac list

I hope you can help me. Am a client and love Neo. Have an Interac issue. Neo no longer appears to be on the list for Interac. Tried to send a transfer, but the name Neo, specifically, is no longer on the list. Tried to contact online chat, but the box just disappears. Please advise! Thank you.

Are you sending them, or is someone requesting an e-transfer from you? When I send an etransfer I don’t see a list of banks, typically.

You are able to only request interac from your neo account for now. You can’t accept it on the et.interac email/sms you should have receive for your transfer

Hi Daniel, thanks for your reply. I was sending a request from my new Wise account to Neo as an Interac eTransfer as its been advised. Usually when I get or send an etransfer within Canada, the name Neo Everyday by Peoples Bank of Canada or something to that effect is on the drop down list to select the Neo bank to direct the funds.

This time, between Wise and Neo, Neo was not on the list at all. Sorry I did not screenshot it.

Tell me more, what does it mean “you’re able to only request interact from your Neo account for now”? Are you saying any e-transfer from anywhere is not possible right now?

Yeah, people have been having trouble with this recently. It might have something to do with the recent payment vendor change. Are there other ways to put money into Wise? I seem to recall using EFT.

You can send etransfer in and out from Neo. You can also accept them in your Neo only if you have autodeposit at the moment. Hope this help :slight_smile:

Yes for the moment Neo doesn’t happear as a “request etrandfer” on Interac

That vendor change must be the issue. Why else would the name not be listed?
Yes apparently now learned via Wise chat that EFT or direct debit is the only way to transfer money between Neo and Wise.

Oh! I did not know that!
So to confirm you can’t receive an e-transfer right now- say person x wanted to send me a e-transfer I couldn’t receive it without auto deposit set up? Can autodeposit be set up during this disruption?
How long is this expected to be the case?

Wise is good about having different options. Hopefully the offer this payment rail again soon.

You can definitely still receive etransfers, with autodeposit or a password. I think it’s just the etransfer requests thing that isn’t available right now.

Yes they do offer multiple options.
Pity the EFT is so slow between Neo 1-2 days and Wise 3-4
it’s not the fastest but at least it’s a way forward.

Yeah, EFTs are not amazing. Sometimes you get lucky and they go quicker. Good luck!

Like others. I request from and send to an email address. I am not selecting to send or deposit to neo.
