Missing Cashback? Let us know here!

Hey @JustBrendo! Your cashback has been calculated correctly. Since you’ve hit your spend cap, that’s why your rewards are showing up this way. Here’s a detailed breakdown to explain:

Before reaching the spend cap: $500 of the rent goes into the recurring payments category at 4.5% (recurring cashback rate (4%)+ premium (0.5%)).

After you’ve reached the spend cap: The rest of the rent or any purchase categorised as recurring payments for the month, will not fall under the everything else category of 1.5% (everything else category (1%) + premium (0.5%)). Instead, it will fall under the fallback rate of 1% for the Neo World Elite.

The amount before the spend cap + After the spend cap = cashback received
($500 * 4.5%) + (1335 * 1%) = $35.85

Hope this helps! Please reach out if you have other questions!

Hi I went out to a cafe this morning and it down as fast food not a cafe for cash back reasons so I got 1.5% not 7% how do I resolve this.

Thanks Luca

Hi @Luca, welcome to the community and thanks for reaching out! Happy to look into this for you, just a few questions:

  • What type of card do you have? (e.g., Neo Standard, World, or World Elite)
  • Do you currently have any perks active on your account? (e.g., Premium, Food & Drink, etc.)

Feel free to DM me directly if you have any other questions or if you’d like to connect there. :hugs:

Hi sana I have the world elite Mastercard
With food and drink and premium active on my account.

Thanks Luca

Got it @Luca, thank you for sending this!

The 7% cashback you mentioned is the average rate across our Partner Network for restaurants, cafes, and bars when you have both the Premium / Food&Drink Perk and a Neo World or World Elite card.

Looks like your transaction may not have occurred at a Partner, as a result, you only earned flat cashback on this particular transaction. In this case, you’re correctly receiving 1.5% cashback: 1% for purchases in the “everything else” category, plus an additional 0.5% from your Premium Perk.

For example: If you go to a partner restaurant and have both perks, your total cashback is the combined earn from the partner offer and any flat cashback from your subscriptions.

After clicking on the specific perk through the App/Website, you can tap on “Learn More” next to the Cashback Offers to view our terms and conditions, which include specifics about Neo partner cashback.

Don’t hesitate to message me directly if you have any other questions :hugs:

The problem with that simplified list of “Perks” is that it does not indicate that the 6%–>7% at “Restaurants, bars, and cafes” is only applicable to partners on that screen.

Just a suggestion to improve that list with a little more clarification for that category.

Totally agree with you on this one, @AgentSmith! At first glance, it definitely seems like the 6% applies to each transaction under “Restaurants, bars, and cafes.” I’ve flagged this to the team, and we’re working on improvements to make that page clearer. Appreciate you pointing it out :hugs:

Hello,

I am having the same issue with my TD Auto Insurance premium of $294 not recognized as a recurring payment though I set it up as a monthly automatic payment. I have the Neo World Elite Mastercard with the Premium Perks, so I expected a 4.5% cashback on that transaction but only got 1.5% instead. I have definitely not exceed my $500 cap on recurring payments for this month. Could you please assist?

Hi @elpea. Thanks for reaching out.

I can definitely take a look into this for you! Reaching out to you shortly via DM.

Hello, I was missing rewards on a purchase from Nutrigo online nutri-go.ca (that’s the only way they sell their product) so I flagged the rewards as missing and now it’s says it’s not eligible. How is that possible? They only have the one website and they’re not a brick and mortar store. The transaction comes up as Sprwt* Nutrigo #26158 TorontoCan See attached screenshots.

Hi Denisa,

I’m not sure if this counts but I thought to mention. I have a 1 yesr commitment with my personal training gets charged monthly but it doesn’t count as a reoccurring bill. The merchant is “Soungui Fitness” here in Ottawa. As it’s the same amount charged monthly I would think this counts as a recurring bill but based upon the cash back reward it doesn’t seem to.

This is the right time to talk about this! We are deep diving the cashback system for recurring payments right now. The current system relies pretty much exclusively on the mastercard code for the transaction, which clearly is not working here.

Great example! We are trying to upgrade the recurring cashback system, this could help. I’ll flag it with the team doing the deep dive.

Thanks again for your feedback, we’ve taken care of the immediate issue you reported, and you should see that reflected now.I know the recurring rewards experience hasn’t been great yet, and updating that system will take a bit more time. Your feedback has been shared with the team, and we’re actively working on improvements.
