If you haven’t updated your direct deposits or pre-authorized payments yet, now’s the time — old Neo Everyday banking details will stop working after May 29, 2026.
This means payments or deposits tied to your previous account information may fail or be returned after that date.
Please update any active providers still using your old details, including:
- Direct deposits & payroll
- CRA
- Utilities, phone bills, & insurance
- Streaming subscriptions
Some members may also notice the first digit of their account number has changed.
Your Neo account and card still work normally; this only affects external transfers using outdated banking information.
You can find your updated banking details anytime in the Neo app or on the Neo website.
Got questions? Drop them below!
Just to be sure, is that the same update as September 2025? Or is that a new one entirely?
I too am curious if this is another change or just a reminder that it happened…
Great question @Geouky, If you’re using the Neo Everyday account, it’s a good idea to double-check your details. Just log into the app or web to make sure you’ve got the most up-to-date banking information
Thank you perfect, I did a few checks here and there. Seems everything is good, I might’ve updated them a while back, cause I do remember there was an update
. Looking over all my direct deposits and PAD, all the info is up to date with the ones shown on app, so I guess no changes needed
Love that for you! Glad everything’s all set
Really appreciate the reminders we’ve been getting about this. However, If there are future changes to direct deposit details, it would be great if each reminder stated the date of the original change, as I and others can be confused on if your notice means it was just recently changed, or if it’s referencing the one from months ago etc. Thanks!!
Thanks for the fair callout @ismaeel, we’d definitely keep this in mind for future posts so the timing and context are clearer.
I’ve checked multiple times to make sure my details are still the same, I recently moved my direct deposit to this account so I’m hoping it won’t randomly change. It looks like it is still the same. Does the change mentioned have anything to do with the update to convert the everyday spending to the chequing account? or is that a serperate update coming?
Nope, this was related to the earlier update. You should be all good!
