A cool feature would be the ability to dynamically link your transaction history with an excel file for budgeting. Where transactions automatically show up in your excel sheet (or once posted they do).
or an easy way to link Neo’s account with budgeting apps!
This sounds very insecure. Yet you can try services like WIMD or similar.
And yes, the open banking is the very major question for me personally. I believe this may be challenging as Neo Financial has a banking partner which they have to arrange everything with.
+1 on this.
I export account transactions from my RBC account to do budgeting. I’d much rather that than a GUI that may or may not meet my needs. Also easier to build than a budgeting app inside Neo (but admittedly, less broad appeal… some people don’t do spreadsheets).
Why would building a budgeting app be difficult within Neo? They could allow to set target for each major category, or allow to further categorize transactions maybe?
The real challenge is that everyone budgets differently. I’ve talked to at least 50 people about budgeting and there are common themes, but everyone does things slightly differently. Being really specific with what you would want to see included is really helpful at this point, because the product team is actively working on it.
Yes, I think pleasing wveryone might be tough but looking forward on how the prosuct team will be able to make it easier to budget within the app in the future
What would be nice is the ability to export your rewards table like you can with your card expenditures. This way you could better analyze how you build your cashback rewards. Just a simple export to csv button would be great.
