Hello,

I reached out to Neo customer support asking why my EFT Was taking so long from my BMO To my Neo money account. They replied with an article on how to link my accounts, which I have already done since I initiated an EFT obviously.

I asked the person named Ghassane to read my question again, and they replied stating my English is bad and they can’t understand the question.

I am quite nervous to transfer more money into my account with reps like this who have access to my account. I have had several interactions with the reps and they seem very rude.

Usually moving funds from an external account takes 5 business days for most transactions, and 8 business days if its a large transaction.

How long ago did you initiate the transfer? I’d love to help you figure this out or point you in the right direction

Thank you for the welcome. There is no need to direct me to anyone. It is not your fault as you are not a CSR. When transferring it says it only takes 3 to 5 business days. Where are you getting the five to eight?

5 business days is the standard but it can be as quick as 3 days or depending on how large the transfer is, it could take 8 days.

We have more info in our help centre article here but if it has already been 8 days and you have not received your transfer, then let me know I can definitely have one of our team members look into this.

FYI: I think it’s worth mentioning too, just for next time if you are wanting to transfer funds in or out of your account, and If you are transferring $3000 or less, i’d recommend for next time using interac e-transfer! That’s what I usually just do because it’s the quickest. I know that’s not much help for right now but just wanted to mention it in case you might have not known about this option :slight_smile:

I have capped out my e-transfer from my current account, so I had no option but to EFT. The funds left my account the morning after I initiated it. The amount was only 3000

How many days has it been since you initiated the transfer?

Today is the 5th business day. Last time I did a transfer it was for 10k using a different fintech bank from the same BMO Account, and it only took 3 business days.

I totally get how this could be frustrating especially since your last transfer was quicker. While 5 business days is standard for EFTs, timing can sometimes vary depending on the transfer process. If the funds don’t arrive by Friday, just let me know and I’ll get this escalated for you. I’ll help however I can. Thanks for being patient with this

Losing confidence in this bank now. Was on hold this time for 2 hours on chat being transferred to the correct department and then they just left chat after 2 hours.
