What do you want to see from Neo in 2026?

Some of these are kinda stretch or wishlist items but here goes:

  1. Consolidating to just one account but keep the high interest rates - it’s a hassle to transfer funds to the checking account just to do transactions
  2. Ways to waive annual fees on credit cards - balance, monthly increases in balance, credit card spend, etc.
  3. No FX fees on credit cards
  4. Cashback CC related:
    1. Max % on groceries, dining (incl. UberEats/DoorDash/etc.), and gas
    2. Would be amazing to get a high % cash back on Costco too but I know they have their own CC with CIBC
    3. Alternatively, flat 3% cash back and keep expanding cash back bonus partners, Either current stamp card style bonuses and/or AMEX style $X cash back on $Y spend.
  5. Travel/lifestyle CC:
    1. Make cash back bonuses global
    2. No FX fee
    3. Travel credit
    4. Maybe instead of offering 8 Plaza Premium passes, just reimburse the cardholder their lounge visits. That way they can choose which lounge to use…or at the very last please partner with someone better than Plaza Premium lol
    5. Automatic status or upgrades for car rentals/hotels
  6. Maybe could be combined with the previous point but a Oneworld / Star Alliance CC…

I would love to be able to save neo partners on some sort of fave list Like an amazon wish list for easy ref. Also in line with that wish the search was more robust. If you don’t know the name but don’t want to be as broad as “dining” you have little in between to drill down. I would maximize them more if I could save them.

The continued evolution and expansion of the cash back rewards program.

Bring back the travel perk that you killed without much info. Or an alternative. I really enjoyed using the smart delay service but now it’s gone

  1. Would love to see account balances under each transaction. IE: Its easy to look back at transactions and see what was spent when, but sometimes nice to see where the balance was at that point after each transaction.

  2. When looking at spending insights: I could be back a few months looking at spending insights for December or something, and click into a category like services to see what I spent in that area, when I return back it always brings you back to the current month instead of the month you were on. Its a small thing but sometimes if I am looking at lots of different categories for several months its annoying to always have to flip back to the month I am analyzing. Also would be nice to have a breadcrumb trail at the top to jump back to instead of just the back button.

I’ve echoed this on another thread but, I wanted to throw “metal cards” into the mix. They’re becoming super popular, and while I don’t have one yet, I’d be first in line if Neo ever rolled out a metal option. It would be an awesome addition to an already great lineup.

+1 to this from me. Used to have one with Amex and it was super cool. Literally just vanity but I loved it.

I wouldn’t want this as it adds weight and also uneccessary expense the customer ends up bearing. I’d rather that money go to more perks.

budgeting tools were you can for start set targets, limits and notifications when limits are approaching a 90% or have exceeded the target per category.

Absolutely! This base-level would also probably be super easy to implement from an engineering stand-point. Could probably have a set-limit for certain categories, but for safety allow the user to go into the app and temporarily bypass self-set limits (just in case of emergency).

more tools to further categorize spending, like as an example sometimes i have expenses that i dont want to be taken into consideration for a specific category

This is similar to what the Mint app used to have. Incredibly helpful for personalization, and also probably not hard to implement.

as well as shared budget

This would perfectly complement the “share accounts” Neo has jsut recently implemented! Great idea.

I think the last thing that would be perfect is to allow integrations of external investment/bank accounts for a full comprehensive budgeting tool that not only updates automatically from Neo purchases, but also from linked accounts. Mint had this feature and it worked really well, so its 100% possible!

One other thing I would love to see from Neo is more product/offering rotations in the Neo store. I don’t know how much it’s being used right now, but I do know I check it regularly. I would probably use it more, but the products being offered haven’t been changed in like a year or more.

These are great and seem pretty reasonable/comparable to other cards.

Cheque deposits.
Ability to categorize transactions/analyze my spending in-depth within the app, without needing separate spreadsheets.
Options/opportunities for better cashback similar to premium perks that were recently phased out.
