Great question, and welcome to the community! The current expected release date is October 1. There are a bunch of Insiders doing the beta testing right now.
Pre-paid cards are great for travel no FX fees and if you lose it, no biggie set amount no calling banks, wait until return then deal with it!
They are also great for keeping spending in buckets - you can track all your spending for like restaurants etc and also limit it to a certain amount.

Unfortunately you won’t get a straight answer I thought the big updates were gonna be today and I just reached out to support again and now there saying it’s October 15th for the release.
Really annoyed there not all on the same page here.

Apologies for the slow response! It’s available to a lot of people and we’re continuing to scale that up. I got Reddit post up on it yesterday but never made it to discourse to post the same thing. Reddit
TL;DR — not everyone has it yet, but if you want it early, we’d be happy to bump you up the queue. Just put your hand up, we’ll accelerate the process for you.
I can appreciate the frustration, Advance is rolling out over a few weeks because it’s pretty complicated and we want to be sure it’s working properly before we let millions of people use it. The bot team is working on setting up the bot so it can be more specific without accidently lying to people.
In the meantime, folks who want a little earlier access can put their hands up and we’ll bump them ahead in the release queue.
