As a Neo customer, I want to share some thoughts and suggestions that could help take an already excellent platform to the next level.
What I love:
The app is fantastic—fast, intuitive, and bug-free. It sets a high bar for digital banking.
I appreciate having all key financial products in one place, even if they’re backed by different providers.
Cashback rates are impressive, and the idea of customizable subscription plans is a smart move.
Areas for improvement:
The debit card is practically useless for cash withdrawals, which limits its flexibility.
Despite meeting all the eligibility criteria, I was only approved for the regular Mastercard, not the World Elite. Customer support couldn’t explain why, leaving me with the impression that the premium card is more of a marketing hook than a widely available product.
Suggested additions:
USD chequing and savings accounts
Bonus cashback and interest boosts for customers with regular direct deposits
Ability to deposit cheques via the app
Free cash withdrawals from any ATM
Support for international (SWIFT) transfers
Neo has built something great. With these enhancements and more transparent practices, I believe Neo could become a truly unrivaled force in digital banking.

Hi Dave, as it has a fee for withdrawals there is no point in using it. For example EQ doesn’t have that on their debit card.

To answer your suggested additions:
- USD accounts and international transfers: are on our long term roadmap. So this is definitely on our radar!
- For direct deposit incentives: We currently have boost levels with 3 different tiers allowing you to get higher cashback rates - the more funds you add to your everyday account, the more cashback you get! It can also be found on this article.
-Cheque deposit: It’s on our roadmap - we’re looking to roll this out around the end of 2025. Will add you to the list and will reach out once we have more information to share regarding this!
-Free ATM withdrawals: This is coming soon, we are aiming for a fall launch.
