Missing Cathay Asia Miles

Hi,

There was a promotion for 25K Cathay Asia Miles after spending $5,000 within 90 days of sign up. I’ve spent that amount within the 90 days and also submitted a case for missing Asia Miles but no one has gotten back to me.

What’s the full timeline? There are some estimates on the T&Cs, I think it’s like a couple of weeks after the 90 days so you can’t just buy things and refund them.

I reported as an issue when I went through the chat but didn’t receive any ticket number.

Usually refunds would be 30 days after purchase, if what you say is true than I can wait a couple more weeks since I reached my $5,000 milestone in the beginning of February.

For the spend-based bonus, it’s not usually issued right when you hit the $5,000 in purchases. Instead, it’s awarded after the full 3‑month (90‑day) period from your account opening is complete.
Once that 90‑day window ends, the bonus is then queued for processing and sent to your Asia Miles account. So even if you hit the $5,000 spend earlier in that 3‑month period, the bonus will only start processing after the entire promotional period has finished.
