I want to thank the community at Neo for their tips and strategies to get from secured to unsecured as quickly as possible. It took me roughly 1 year and my score has been rejuvenated to over 700. I was recently approved for an unsecured card and am delighted to announce that trusting the process works. Thank you to Neo Financial for assisting in the building portion of my past credit issues. It works for those who are doubting the process like I was.
I am agreeing that the process works.i have had a NEO hold card since February of this year. My score at that time was low 600s.
Today with using Neo as an everyday card and making bill payments and also starting to accumulate some savings as well I am at 668. I have had a steady increase in my rating every month. I plan to apply for an unsecured card from Neo in the near future as well
So another proof case that Neo does work for building your credit!

How do you transition from secured to unsecured? Does the conversion happen automatically, or do you have to apply for/open a new unsecured card? I just don’t want to lose the history of my secured card, having to close it out, and I don’t want new account listed on my credit report.

Unfortunately there is no such option, since those are considered different credit products I understand.
Clearly the feature everyone would welcome.
I switched form secured to unsecured myself about a year ago.
You can apply directly through the app. It will tell you if you are pre approved or guaranteed to be approved. If memory serves me correctly you need a minimum score of 660 according to Google. They do update your eligibility through the app but you you have to manually fill out the application.
