I’d like to strongly recommend that Neo begin reporting credit activity to both major Canadian credit bureaus, TransUnion and Equifax.
Right now, many lenders, landlords, and financial institutions rely exclusively on Equifax when assessing creditworthiness. When Neo reports to only one bureau, members don’t always get full credit for the positive habits they build through Neo products. That means:
- Some members may not see the credit improvements they’ve earned
- Lenders who check only Equifax may overlook a member’s progress
- Neo’s impact on financial health appears smaller than it actually is
Expanding reporting to Equifax would give members a complete, consistent credit profile across the entire lending ecosystem. It would also strengthen Neo’s position as a leader in helping Canadians build real, measurable credit growth.
This change would directly support Neo’s mission of improving financial well‑being, and it would make Neo even more competitive with institutions that already report to both bureaus.
I hope the team will consider this upgrade. It would be a meaningful improvement for members and a smart strategic move for Neo.
