If you’re a late night snack fiend like me, you have likely used Uber Eats to order yourself a lil sweet treat at midnight.
Frustratingly, that sweet treat turns into a bit of a pain when Uber processes the final amount. They have a habit of processing a secondary charge rather than completing their original pre-auth.
There should exist a way for you to filter and see all the temporary holds you have on your card, and their expected release date. Right now, I have about $40 in holds from Uber relating from an order with an add-on order. Each one was charged as its own order at checkout, then the next morning, they charged a second time. Its been a week, and that hold is still on there.
While, yes, those holds should exist until expired, there should exist a method to dispute these, and link them to the completed charge. This way, the hold should be allowed to be removed sooner (pipe dream, I know 
)
