Quick add from experience: if you’re setting up MFA, having both a phone option and a backup method (like an authenticator or passcode grid) can save you a headache later.
That backup MFA tip is especially clutch, the CRA is actually pushing for everyone to have multiple sign-in options now, since it helps prevent lockouts and adds another layer of protection if one method fails.

I would say that nowadays password manager is a must have as well as using throwaway emails.
SimpleLogin is very famous service, that allows you to create throwaway e-mails, so essentially for every account you use not only a unique password but also a unique e-mail.
this way if you mailbox gets compromised it’s impossible to trigger reset password in any other service, because no services are using that e-mail.
