Neo has thousands of partners and also hires sales reps to do activations, often at malls.
What I find interesting is that there doesn’t seem to be a funnel for activations that would leverage the partner network. In other words, current partners provide Neo rewards to customers who use Neo, but they are not engaged in the process of onboarding new users into Neo.
What it means is that you can go to a mall with 50 Neo rewards partners but the only place where activations happen is that one dedicated Neo stand.
What if there was a way to use the rewards network partners to easily onboard new users at scale. There could be an easy process like a dedicated QR code at checkout that provides an incentive for merchants for every sign up. Merchants with high foot traffic and daily transaction count can probably bring a lot of new users if they are incentivized to do it. Right now it’s the users who get Neo rewards for buying products from merchants, not merchants getting rewards for creating new users for Neo.
As an alternative to QR code, there could be an email receipt feature that would include sign up for Neo link in the email.
