Use Tax Outcomes to Plan Ahead 💡

Think of tax time as more than paperwork—it’s insight into your cash flow. Whether your return ends up as a refund or a balance owing, getting organized early helps you make informed choices and plan ahead.

Filing early gives you time to adjust withholdings or set up a payment arrangement through the CRA if you owe, so you avoid surprises and keep your budget steady.

I am planning to invest all of it. I have to hit my investment goals this year!:ok_hand:

We are getting a refund! With diligent saving and investing through the year we plan to spend it, maybe on a trip!

Turns out I owe taxes because my employer didn’t deduct enough from my pay throughout the year.

We sold property this year. Maternity leave, and job changes. Its kinda hard to say what we will shake out with!

@Mattbrennan, any top destinations in mind? :airplane:

Looking to get a refund as I used my FHSA :house: ; I will put the refund in a house account for upgrades, etc.

Nothing planned yet. We have a 9 month old so hoping somewhere good with a baby! Any recommendations?

@Mattbrennan 9 months is such a fun age for a first trip! Since they aren’t running around yet, a stroller-friendly spot with a slower pace is usually the way to go. I’d highly recommend looking for a suite or apartment-style stay.
