I’m not sure if Neo just had given up on the idea or what but the Neo store hasn’t had anything new added to it for months. They haven’t even restocked on Cineplex tickets, might as well remove it if they’re not planning to refresh their inventory ://
Hey @Rapturous I totally get where you’re coming from. We haven’t forgotten about the Neo Store, but I appreciate the nudge about refreshing the inventory. I’ll pass your feedback along to the team because we’re definitely not giving up on it!
Is there anything specific you’d love to see added to the store? Always open to suggestions!
I agree with the original poster that the store is lacking. Here are a few thoughts on what can be improved:
• Prompt users to cash out rewards to Neo store to encourage them to do it. For example, Neo could have milestones like $25, $50, $100 in rewards collected for users to celebrate with some gamification. Amounts close to specified threshold could trigger a push that indicates that users are about to hit the milestone. In addition, hitting the milestone itself could be an event that prompts user to redeem the balance towards items.
• It would make sense to consider the amount of rewards cash available when organizing items. The default filter currently is “sort by newest”, which pushes items like $160 Rakuten Kobo Clara 2E to the top. I’ve never had anywhere close to $160 in rewards so I can’t redeem rewards for it anyways even if I wanted to – what’s the point in showing it to me first?
• Pushing “most popular” or “trending” items to the top can better guide users and save them from the hassle of scrolling through the list.
• Making suggestions relevant to the user would go a long way. For example, Neo could implement an algorithm that recommends items based on the user’s past shopping behaviours, preferences, or spending categories. For example, if a user frequently buys wellness or home goods, the store can push more relevant items to the forefront.
• Remove items that are sold out (e.g. Landmark Cinemas gift cards).
• Introduce more affordable items to engage users with smaller rewards balances to engage and redeem points regularly.
• Consider adding more digital goods that don’t require shipping, like e-books, online courses, or streaming service gift cards.
• Introduce user reviews for products so customers can see what others think before redeeming their rewards. This builds trust and can lead to better purchase decisions.
• Rotate products based on the time of year. For example, focus on outdoor gear and travel products in the summer, wellness products during the holiday season, and educational or home goods at the start of the year.
• Offer themed product bundles and exclusive deals during holidays, such as special discounts on gift cards or curated holiday gift sets.
• Highlight more local brands and partners to appeal to users in specific regions. For example, offering region-specific food, apparel, or experiences can make the store more relevant to users in different areas.
• Add more Neo branded swag.
