Grammatical profanity

To the editors of The Get,

I not, generally, one to send this sort of message and certainly not one that contains a criticism, particularly one so harsh, but what the heck is going on???

This is a publication that is going out to many, many people I imagine and really, this is beyond the pale:

The phrase, “me and my team of journalists and designers are doing this.”, included in your email, made me cringe! Parse the phrase and you would get “me are (am) doing this” and “my team are (is) doing this”. You should fire your proofreaders for missing this glaring and egregious grammatical ERROR! I spent years trying to “encourage” my stepchildren to eliminate this particular phrase from their speech,

I couldn’t past this point in your email or read any further in the publication.

Has Rick Mercer read this email? He must be as horrified as I and clearly wasn’t offered the opportunity to read the email before if was sent.

Sincerely,

Kim Sharpe
