Would be good to know how to get the Neo World Elite Mastercard . I currently have the Neo Mastercard and would surely upgrade for additional cashback benefits (but without further info I’d be scared of the costs)

  1. Yes.
  2. Neo is offering very high cash back rate, and it the money is secured and CDIC insured.
  3. Not quite helps you saving money, but indeed earn rewards. Big 5 banks do have chequing account fees, but some of them are actually waivable, and sometimes offer credit card rebates as well. So, the comparison chart does not quite convincing.
  4. Information are all there, and I actually like the design of the cash back details (not seeing in the app?). Visually, first screen texts are too big, the ā€œget startedā€ button design is not consistent with your new shape?
    In general, it looks good!

Yes, it is clear that Neo offers banking services. I like the design, very modern, though the text size feels a bit large for my taste, which is a personal preference. The biggest takeaway is the cashback feature. Perhaps ā€˜no-fee banking’ could also be highlighted as a key feature, depending on whether the focus is solely on cashback. For the table, I think it would look more clear if Neo is placed on the left and other banks on the right, with a distinct background color for Neo column. (Don’t take my word for it, I am no UX expert haha)

1.Yes, there’s no mistaking that you are looking at a financial services page.
2. Neo is popular, offers many services and seems to have very good benefits.
3. Yes, I personally haven’t used the reward system yet but looking over this page, I feel like I have a better understanding of it.
4. I’d like to see some more color accents in the largely white and grey areas, but I’ve always favored dynamic UI’s over minimal ones.

Thanks @futandrew! On point 3, what would make it more appealing when comparing against other bank chequing accounts? Any features we’re missing that would make a big difference?

Great feedback @Kenny! Agreed we can lean into no-fee banking in addition to our cashback benefits.

Table comments are very valid too, don’t worry I am also not a UX expert  I’ll pass them on to our creative team!

Thanks for the note @strangeindividual! I like the color comments and will pass over to our creative team.

On your third point - what would make you more likely to participate in the reward system? Is it enticing enough to encourage use? Super curious to hear your thoughts!

Hi @farchangelo love the enthusiasm! We’re currently testing World Elite with a small group of users, you might be eligible and can check the credit page under the ā€˜add card’ option in the app. We’ll have a broad launch to all users through the Fall, will update the community as we continue to finalize our plans!

Couple ideas:

  • on the big 5 banks at the top, make the inital 240 a negative number in red
  • add that -240 to the total so it’d be closer to $1900 reasons
  • open account/learn more buttons as rounded boxes rather than the piece in the top corner missing. Same with the blue button towards the top

Thanks @_johnmcbride! Good callouts to make our offering stand out as much as possible.

Just noticed that I didn’t answer the questions directly.
1- It’s clear, the piggy bank image is incredible
2- The table comparing Neo to other big 5 is a bit forced imo. I don’t personally like the slogan ā€œ1600 reasons to switchā€. The clear advantages of Neo for me are 100% digital, agile and no hidden fees. I think the cashbacks are an incredible side-bonus, but precifying them seems a bit odd. Maybe try to poll the general public on the streets to see if that’s enticing enough to make them open an account?
3- Yes, the graphics showing cashbacks on Costco, Boston Pizza etc are really well done. I normally disable all notifications on all my devices, but I love getting emails from Neo showing that I received a cashback.
4- Good job overall, I get that your goal right now is promoting the cashback feature. But what makes Neo really strong for me is the foundation. Also, consider the wording ā€œOpen your accountā€ rather than ā€œSwitch to usā€. People are comfortable having multiple accounts in multiple banks and will naturally gravitate to moving their money to the one that offers the best services.

Great job overall guys!

Hey @farchangelo do you use the everyday account to boost your rewards?

Not using, I’m an international student and I don’t keep money in my checking account in Canada.
I pay all my expenses on credit card and transfer money monthly to pay for them.

I have more of a feedback for the app opening page. Make it so that my email is saved under the ā€œwelcome backā€ page where you sign into account.

It’s like such a small thing but would make the usage of the app infinitely more optimal! I find it so frustrating I have to type it in everytime, my other bank accounts are not like this and ai find them much easier to access because of it!

Hey @Skylar.P Which device are you using and which version of the app do you have? When I open mine on an iPhone it saves my email and it prompts me for face ID. If you have an iPhone I would suggest enabling face ID and on android enabling fingerprint sign in. Try first updating your app and then enabling one of the two options above. Let me know if that helps & if not we can try to find another solution for you!

Have been thinking this for some time. I’ll say the interest rate from regular chequing account is way higher than traditional banks.

In addition to the current chart, possibly add an interactive slider feature, so the user can slide how much do they usually save in the account, how much do they spend on specific categories, how many etransfers, how much are they paying for traditional accounts? Then display the savings relative to their spending, so it would be more appealing than the current ā€œaverageā€ and ā€œgenericā€ values.

Also, we can highlight - no minimum saving requirement to waive the monthly fee, no etransfer fees, etc. Make the table wider including more specific banks, list some key identifications (eg. minimum 6000 daily balance to waive the fee).

In general, visually, make expenses red and negative sign to make the table consistent and obvious on what is spending and what is saving, etc.
