Feature Request : Scheduled Transfers

TL;DR… schedule money transfers between Neo accounts for a future date and time.

User Story

As a consumer user of Neo’s savings and credit products, I’d like to be able to schedule a transfer between a high-interest savings account and an everyday account in order to fully automate payment of a credit card balance. Priority routing should exist so that the transfer executes before the autopayment (if set), so that the latter does not fail.

Requirements :

  • User should be able to schedule a future-dated transaction (amount, from acct, to acct, datetime, priority)
  • Grace period or posting window to ensure that transactions executed in the wrong order (ie bill payment before transfer) on the same day do not cause failures

Competitive Comparison

This is a parity feature. RBC and other big five banks have this capability in their mobile app.

If I’m getting this right this would be beneficial. As some who has savings accounts to put payments aside from each paycheque it would be nice to have it auto transfer to my everyday account before the payment hits without having to log in. Or if by chance I forget end up with a missed payment. I know you have the 1 auto transfer option which does help but more would be nice

Bingo. Setting a # of recurring transactions before ending the schedule is a good add to this, thanks!

Thanks for putting this together @Eridrin, It’s great feedback! Bringing our scheduling capabilities up to (and beyond) the big banks is definitely on our radar. I really like the emphasis on the grace period to prevent failed payments, it’s those small details that make a big difference in the user experience.
