Another super useful feature of my UK based account (and caveat, I understand that this may be more related to open banking than anything else) is that your Apple Wallet can show your current balance, your recent transactions (including non-card transactions), and your spending heatmap over the past 7 days as a widget.
It refreshes at regular intervals and on demand when you double tap to pay, so you always know how much you have before you tap so you don’t have an awkward moment at the register.
I know the concern is that it drives folks away from the proprietary app but it is a nice feature to have, as it allows for a quick glance at the Home Screen to see your account balance/card balance.
