# Cannot login due to not having access to the phone number on my account so i cannot get the varification code

[I can’t access my old phone number](https://neofinancial.discourse.group/t/i-can-t-access-my-old-phone-number/2434) to recieve varification code to login.. how do i change the phone number i have on my account so i am able to access my account again?

You can actually update your phone number from the login screen without accessing your account.

1. Open the Neo app or website and go to the login screen.
2. When prompted for your verification code, tap **“Lost access to my number.”**
3. Complete the quick identity check (you’ll need your government ID and a quick selfie).
4. Enter your new phone number and confirm it with the code sent to that number.  
Once verified, you’ll be logged in with your updated number. If the identity check doesn’t go through, just hit the **“Contact us”** button and our team will jump in to help!
