# Applied for wrong Neo World Elite card — can I switch to Cathay Neo World Elite+?

Hi everyone, I could use some advice.
I recently wanted to apply for the Cathay Neo World Elite+ card, but by mistake I applied for the Neo World Elite instead. I later realized these are actually two different versions, and I had assumed they were the same at the time of application.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is it possible to switch or upgrade to the Cathay Neo World Elite+ after approval?
Any guidance on the best way to handle this would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It’s approved online. just Applied it yesterday and approved virtual one.

Got it! Since the virtual card is already active, the account is considered active on our end. Right now, there isn’t a way to “swap” between the standard World Elite and the Cathay World Elite+ after approval in the app. Typically, there’s a 6-month waiting period for standard cards (and 3 months for unsecured cards) before you can apply for a second credit product. For now, it’s best to keep the current card, since changing or closing it won’t shorten that waiting period. You can revisit the Cathay World Elite+ once the 6 months are up.
